Data Steward – Asset Management
Location: Spain (remotely role based in Spain).

About the Role
As a Data Steward within the Global Asset Management function, you will be the guardian of data quality, consistency, and governance across APM Terminals. You will represent process and data owners in both business-as-usual and project contexts, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and aligned with global standards.
You will collaborate closely with Business Process Experts, Data Governance, and Master Data Management teams to define data flows, enforce quality standards, and support strategic initiatives through high-quality data.
Key Responsibilities
Data Domain Management
- Act as the representative of data owners across multiple locations.
- Define and enforce global data standards and business rules.
- Maintain and update master and reference data.
- Document data definitions and business rules for effective enterprise data management.
Data Quality Assurance
- Monitor the full lifecycle of master and reference datasets.
- Validate and approve business terms and data definitions.
- Identify and resolve data anomalies and discrepancies.
- Lead cross-functional discussions to improve data quality.
Business-as-Usual (BAU) Activities
- Manage maintenance plans and ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets.
- Continuously improve SNOW forms and data processes.
- Ensure compliance with global and regional regulations.
- Represent data domain issues in governance meetings.
Projects & Implementations
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and system improvements.
- Deliver data templates for new implementations.
Team Enablement
- Drive data maturity across execution teams.
- Train users on data requisition processes and standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience with master data in a relevant functional area.
- Background in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred).
- Strong data analytics skills (Excel, SQL, Visual Basic, etc.).
- Familiarity with IFS CMMS module is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proactive, independent, and highly disciplined.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, Arabic) are a plus.
