Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. This role focuses on delivering interactive, hospitality-oriented English training to employees across operational departments. The objective is to foster a supportive learning environment where colleagues can build the confidence and fluency required to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver English lessons tailored to hospitality operations (Food & Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Spa, Kids Club).
- Conduct needs assessments in collaboration with management and evaluate employees’ English proficiency levels.
- Develop training plans, lesson materials, handouts, and job-relevant resources.
- Deliver on-site classes directly within departments, emphasizing practical hospitality vocabulary, service expressions, and professional communication.
- Create interactive training methods and use diverse teaching styles to engage employees.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and performance, and provide feedback to employees and management.
- Organize and administer assessments, prepare progress reports, and recommend next steps.
- Maintain discipline and ensure a professional learning environment.
- Collaborate with managers to align training with service standards and departmental needs.
- Encourage and motivate employees to confidently use English in their daily tasks and guest interactions.
- Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and hospitality-focused English training trends.
- Support the hotel’s culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Native English speaker with a recognized teaching qualification (CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven teaching experience, ideally within hospitality, tourism, or customer service environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity, adaptability, and strong organizational skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate learners at different levels.
- Strong computer and technological skills for preparing materials and interactive sessions.
- Spanish language skills are not required.
