We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Engineer to provide on-site technical support, installations, and troubleshooting for our clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with IT hardware, network devices, and customer support, and be able to work independently across different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, servers, routers, switches, and IT hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Install and support POS systems, printers, scanners, CCTV, and related peripherals as per project scope.
- Provide remote or in-person troubleshooting for clients, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Replace and upgrade hardware components (e.g., power supplies, hard drives, memory modules).
- Document service calls, configurations, and issue resolutions accurately.
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and client requirements on-site.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in a field support or IT technician role.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience handling POS systems, CCTV, and end-user hardware is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, travel to client sites, and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco CCNA, H3CNE) are preferred.
