The role:
GTD Science, Infrastructures & Robotics offers services and solutions for energy operators, and nuclear research centers focused on the development of robotics, control, and supervisors. You will participate in Big-Science projects, such as ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor).
You will join a dynamic team, who is responsible for the development of highly critical and real-time Control Systems in the context of scientific applications.
Position activities:
- Define the FPGA detailed specification.
- Define the FW architecture to run within the FPGA.
- Design your own IP cores.
- Perform coding rules conformance check (linting).
- Design the testbenches for the IP cores.
- Validate the IP cores by simulation & by hardware.
- Perform functional & code coverage.
- Perform synthesis, implementation and bitstream generation.
- Automate the previous processes through script languages.
Your profile:
- BSc or MSc in (Digital) Electronics Engineering or similar.
- >3 years of experience developing IP cores along with their testbenches, using VHDL or (System)Verilog.
- >3 years of experience working with FPGA development tools (mainly Xilinx Vivado IDE, Altera Quartus IDE).
- Design with modularity, reusability and readability principles in mind.
- Experience performing validation by simulation tools (ModelSim, QuestaSim) and by hardware (ILAs).
- Experience with unit-test frameworks (VUnit, UVM).
- Script languages (Python, TCL, Bash).
- Experience using Version Control System tools (Git).
- Task and wiki management tools, such as JIRA or Confluence.
- Advanced user on both Windows OS & Linux OS.
- Good knowledge of laboratory instrumentation (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc).
- Write good technical documentation.
- Good knowledge of English (at least B2).
Nice to have:
- Enterprise Architect for system architecture definition.
- C/C++ as SW developing languages.
- Good knowledge of Embedded Systems.
- DevOps or CD/CI skills using Jenkins or equivalent.
- Agile software development, such as Scrum.
