Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insights Manager to lead the delivery of data-driven insights within the aviation operations domain. This role will primarily support the operations and strategy divisions of the Group, focusing on areas such as flight scheduling, network performance, crew management, aircraft utilization, and operational efficiency. The Insights Manager will collaborate with a team of data analysts and serve as a key liaison between the data department and aviation operations stakeholders, ensuring projects are aligned with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Insights Generation & Business Support
- Partner with operations and strategy teams to understand operational goals and provide analytical solutions that drive efficiency, optimize scheduling, improve fleet utilization, and enhance customer experience.
- Analyze key aviation metrics such as on-time performance, load factors, operational costs, crew productivity, and network efficiency using both internal and external data sources.
- Develop and deliver actionable insights on flight performance, optimization, and operational challenges to support decision-making across the business.
- Summarize and distill operational trends, performance, and opportunities, producing high-quality reports and presenting insights to senior leadership.
Data & Reporting Excellence
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of dashboards, forecasting models, and recurring performance reports focused on key aviation operations and performance indicators.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and alignment of data across departments, particularly in relation to operational data integration with commercial KPIs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Coordination
- Constructively challenge aviation operations stakeholders to ensure project prioritization aligns with critical business needs and strategic goals.
- Serve as the data representative for aviation operations, ensuring insights are aligned with the broader business strategy.
- Build strong relationships with operations and commercial stakeholders to identify opportunities where data can drive operational and business value.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or Business Analytics).
- 6+ years of experience in aviation operations, travel technology, or transportation analytics.
- At least 3 years of experience in roles related to operational analysis, aviation strategy, or corporate development.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading or managing a team of data analysts or operational analysts.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver data-driven insights effectively.
Preferred
- Expertise in SQL and advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
