We accelerate and elevate Internal & Corporate storytelling across B2B, corporate and internal communications for Mattel EMEA across our most exciting and well-known brands including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher Price as well as the Mattel corporation. This is a strategic role that helps drive employer engagement and positive internal communication which ultimately drives affinity, engagement and retention of employees.
The Opportunity:
As part of the regional Mattel EMEA PR & Communications team, join us as Internal and Corporate Comms Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Comms Director EMEA. In this role and in partnership with People & Culture, you will help coordinate and champion our internal communications initiatives, that bring our brands purpose and employer brand to life. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career while contributing to meaningful, high-visibility projects across the region with multiple stakeholders across Europe.
What Your Impact Will Be:
You will support and accelerate internal and corporate citizenship communications projects, including:
1. Internal Communications
Develop and manage internal communications frameworks: Help define messaging, prioritize channels, and build a regional calendar of internal events such as town halls and social initiatives.
Manage EMEA bi-weekly newsletter, cocreating it in partnership with all functions across the region (Insights, GTO & Office of AI, Marketing leads, Simfluencers, P&C, Workplace)
Coordinate the EMEA Town Hall, from sending invites to supporting with agenda building and content production, Q&A support and time management and other Leadership events throughout the year (Career Fireside Chat, ELT, EELT meetings)
Support event planning and execution: Organize and manage logistics for leadership events, employee competitions and other employee-focused gatherings—from messaging to guest coordination.
Use data to inform comms strategies: Analyze feedback and internal engagement data (e.g., GPS results) to continually improve communications tactics and approaches.
2. Corporate Citizenship Communications
Coordinate and help amplify key Corporate Citizenship partnerships: Support the execution of partnerships with organizations like UN Women, Save the Children and Mattel Play it Forward helping elevate our corporate citizenship credentials across the region.
Play an active role in bi-annual ‘Mattel Play it Forward’ events: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the internal and B2B visibility and impact of our philanthropic initiatives.
Drive Corporate Citizenship visibility and recognition: Work with the PR team and Government Affairs to identify and execute on award submissions, speaking opportunities, and panel engagements that raise the profile of Mattel EMEA’s leadership.
Support large corporate communications initiatives that help build the profile and leadership of Mattel EMEA.
What We’re Looking For:
BA/BS degree (or equivalent)
Genuine interest in corporate citizenship, philanthropy and/or sustainability
Knowledge or experience in employee/internal communications
Ability to distill and summarize large volumes of information clearly
Digitally savvy; comfortable with comms tools and platforms
Strong writing and editing skills in English
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented and collaborative
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
