PURPOSE
As a Project Coordinator in Barcelona, you’ll coordinate that include implementing, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and IT solutions for airports, ground handlers, and airlines.
Working with teams across multiple locations in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, you’ll need at least 1 year of experience in IT project management and to be organized, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in project management and technology
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role offers a range of responsibilities after a period of onboarding and training:
- You will manage simple projects throughout its life cycle and there will be times when you will be assigned to assist a senior project manager by managing sub-projects or key task elements, to be tutored and learn the SITA way of managing projects. With each assignment, you report regularly on the progress and manage each assignment through its completion.
- Project Coordination - perform, coordinate and track activities and deliverables for project completion. Submit and coordinate change requests, manage risks, control works status and communicate status to senior management. Perform all follow up work needed to ensure all deliverables and changes are completed as planned.
- Project administration – As a Project Coordinator, one of your key responsibilities will be project documentation and administration. This involves creating and distributing meeting agenda items and meeting minutes, logging and raising risks and issues to project team, documenting the lessons learnt, handling the close-out process documentation requirement and managing recycling activities. Your ability to write clearly and accurately is crucial to the success of the project.
- Project Procurement and Logistics - Collaborate with the procurement and the shipping departments to manage the procurement and delivery of goods and services required for the project. Communicate the project requirements, budgets, and timelines to the procurement team and check the status of goods and materials that are being procured for the project.
- Project improvement - Conduct research on various topics and issues that support quality improvement on projects. This can include analysing and reviewing past project documentation and lesson learnt, collecting and consolidating Customer Satisfaction Survey results, and researching improvement activities that can have a positive effect on project work assigned.
- Additional Support - Additional Support – Help create key project documentation, such as Procurement and Logistics Plans and Environmental Plans. Depending on project needs, you may also assist with inventory management, warehousing, and ensuring quality standards are met.
EXPERIENCE

Mandatory:
- You have one year experience in some activities like integration, delivery, operations, or general project management within IT or other technical environment, like infrastructure, communications, etc.

Optional:
- You have purchasing and logistics experience.
- Experience with IT solutions in the travel and transportation industry.
EDUCATION
- Business or Administrative or technical degree
- Formal project management training
- English is mandatory. French and/or German is highly valuable
