The CB-DDT group is a multidisciplinary group focus in development of advanced drug delivery systems and advanced therapies. The group targets rare diseases and also cancer, including lung cancer therapies. Further, our group runs the Unit 20 on in vivo experimental research, also known as Functional Validation & Preclinical Research (FVPR).
We seek for a highly motivated candidate to work in one of our projects devoted to the preclinical testing of a new therapeutic drug delivery system for enzyme replacement therapy using exosomes for rare diseases (Erdera).

Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Title of higher technician (FPII/CFGS) in the field of bioscience (i.e. Laboratory Diagnostics, Pathological Anatomi, etc.).
- Accreditation to manipulate experimental animals
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 3 experience in laboratory work
- Previous experience in molecular and cellular techniques, from cell culturing to genetic editing and production of recombinant proteins and protein loaded extracellular vesicles.
- Lab management skills (analytical, organizational and time management).
- Good computer skills.
- Proven experience in animal (mice) handling, product administration, welfare monitoring and necropsies
Desired:
- Experience in Quality Management Systems, specifically with ISO9001 standards
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English
- We are looking for a person who has a proven hands-on attitude, flexible and adaptable. Additionally, the following personals skills are desirable:
- Teamwork
- Proactivity (ability to work independently when necessary)
- Well-organized and responsible person at work
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Support to in vitro and in vivo experimentation, from basic cell culturing, to molecular biology, animal handling and execution of animal experimentation procedures (substance administration, sample extraction, surgical procedures and animal monitoring) for treating rare disease models
- Basic processing of cell cultures and mouse tissue samples
- Data registry
- Execution of basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, ELISA, WB, etc.)
- Administrative and laboratory management tasks
Labour conditions:
- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate
- Gross annual salary: 22.352,25 - 24.500 euros. Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
