JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: MAIN GATE NIGHT ACCESS CONTROLLER
DEPARTMENT: FRONT OFFICE
REPORTS TO: FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
INTERACTIONS WITH: GUESTS, PROVIDERS, OWNERS, ASSOCIATES AND 3RD PARTY VENDOR EMPLOYEES
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mainly provide a professional and courteous welcome to owners, guests and providers when arriving to the resort. Have a control in place of all individuals entering the resort, following the guidelines given by the company via managers and supervisors.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSABILITIES:
- Quality of service based on the Marriott Vacation Club International standards.
- Complete knowledge of the associates working onsite, property, services provided and operation hours.
- Key control. The controller will be responsible to follow the proper procedure, strict and efficient, to control the check in and check out of property keys stored at the main gate.
- Maintain the cleaning standards at the workplace.
- Understanding of his/her position on the general emergency plan at the property, as well as the different levels of emergency and what to do in each level (blue, yellow, red)
- Normal operation as access controller at the main gate of the resort.
- Provide a warm welcome to the guest on his/her arrival to the main gate.
- Be proactive to detect any possible problem or situation that may occur at the main entrance that may imply a risk for guests, associates or providers at the resort.
- Be responsible for the cash float that stays at the gate for the sale of local owners passes. This float needs to be correct always.
- In case of any anomaly, the controller must inform immediately to his supervisor/manager or in his/her absence, to the manager on duty (MOD).
- Basic knowledge of Night Auditor duties to help the desk if needed.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Capable of standing most of the time during the shift at the gate. No physical problems to develop this type of position (standing most of the time)
- Good visual observation
- Capable to handle stress and difficult situations in case of guests & associates’ complaints or emergency situations.
- Capable to work on night shift, weekdays, weekends or bank holidays.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in Spanish. Medium understanding of English.
- Minimum of experience on customer service or similar
- Some computer knowledge.

- Clean and neat appearance is always required, wearing a proper nametag and impeccable uniform.
- Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain a positive attitude and commitment, to provide an excellent service to all guests, associates and providers.
- Work with all colleagues as a team, supporting the needs within the team and those of the business at all times.
- Fulfill the resort guidelines, and make others (guests, associates and provides) understand them too
- Respect and perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
