People Development Partner - Madrid

Help us find, grow and train the next generation of leaders – from recruitment to development, you’ll make a lasting impact at NORMAL.

NORMAL has opened more than 900 stores across Europe over the past 12 years, and our growth continues at high speed. As part of the journey in our Spanish market, we are now looking for a People Development Partner (PDP) who will work closely with our store and regional managers to:

  • Recruit the right people
  • Develop strong leadership
  • Build a robust pipeline of future store managers

In this role, recruitment is your starting point. Together with our regional managers, you'll spot and hire future store managers, then support their journey through training and leadership development. You support store managers in recruiting employees – e.g. by conducting assessments. Also, you’ll be a trusted sparring partner for Spanish NORMAL-leaders and play a key role in building strong teams and great results across NORMAL Spain.

This is a hands-on role - and a unique opportunity to be close to the action, support daily leadership, and strengthen the customer experience.

The role

You will help drive recruitment, development and secure a healthy pipeline of future store leaders. You work side by side with our regional managers and store managers - your job is to support them in being great NORMAL-leaders.

Your core tasks will include:

  • Recruitment: You support the leaders in finding and selecting the right people - and in making recruitment decisions that support long-term success
  • Partnering with regional and store managers: You offer sparring, support and perspective on everyday leadership challenges - from motivating the team to navigating tough conversations
  • Leadership development: You contribute to building strong leaders - not with PowerPoints, but through hands-on coaching in stores, during meetings and in real-life situations
  • Pipeline thinking: Together with the regional managers you help identify and grow people with potential - so we are always preparing the next generation of assistant store managers and store managers
  • Training: You take part in delivering our internal leadership training programs, prioritized face-to-face, always connecting learning to NORMAL’s culture

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with solid experience from the retail industry – preferably within recruitment and leadership development. You likely have a strong foundation in leadership yourself, and your experience enables you to confidently partner with leaders at all levels - from newly appointed store managers to seasoned regional managers. You are an excellent communicator who can engage, inspire, challenge, and support.

You are also:

  • Pragmatic and solution oriented – you thrive in a fast-paced fix-it-culture
  • Self-driven and structured - you make things happen and bring clarity
  • Curious and people-oriented - you enjoy seeing others grow
  • Culturally aware - and comfortable working in an international environment
  • Fluent in Spanish and more than comfortable using English in your daily work

What we offer

  • A role with real influence and visibility - close to our Spanish stores and leadership
  • A fast-growing international business with a down-to-earth culture and strong values
  • The trust to handling an important task in securing right person at the right place, and shaping how we develop our future store leaders in Spain
  • An experienced, international People Development team that you will collaborate closely with
  • A role that includes travel across Spain and occasional travel to our HQ in Denmark

You will report operationally to our Spanish Country Manager and have a professional reference to our Head of People Development in Denmark. You are working close to the stores and from our base in Madrid

If this sounds like you - or if you want to know more - reach out to Country Manager, Almir Terzic at +45 30660612 or our Talent Acquisition Specialist, Alina Gautreaux at +34 652 563 348 . We look forward to hearing from you!
