Wood is recruiting for a Performance Engineer to join its Power &Industrial, Steam Generation System (Boilers) business, global leader in the delivery of project, engineering, equipment and technical services to the energy and industrial markets.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Performance engineer, to participate in our Engineering & Technical department with the following expertise:
- Perform Boiler thermal design and performance operational cases.
- Boiler Performance test procedure according to ASME PTC and EN
- Selection of Boiler geometry and materials
- Boiler efficiency
- Perform Process Flow Diagrams
- Determined design and operation conditions for flues and ducts sizing.
- Boiler metal temperatures and design pressures.
- Specify Boiler Auxiliary equipment such as: Fuel Feeding system, Grates, Air Quality Control Systems, Ash System, Cleaning Systems, Fans, Pumps, Economizers, Air heaters, Water coils.
- Boiler insulation and refractory technical specifications.
- Boiler start up and shutdown procedure and curves.

- Performs technical calculations and technical reports.
- Assures contract specifications, applicable codes and company procedures are fulfilled.
- Prepares technical data sheets and specifications.
- Prepares, verifies and/or approves drawings related to his/her technical calculations performed.
- Ensures successful completion of the assigned deliverables per contract requirements within the budgeted time and cost constraints of the project/proposals.
- Reports to the Section Manager any technical project/proposal difficulty and /or out of standard solution to be approved.
- Coordinates and supports the Project Engineering Manager in the technical aspects of the project.

Expected:
- Industrial or Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- More than 5-10 years relevant experience in Power Plant Projects
- Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
- Good organization, written and oral skills
- Knowledge of international Codes and Standards: ASME PTC and EN
- Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
Desirable:
- User of AUTOCAD
- User of NAVIS 3D Model
