The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a full-time PROJECT MANAGER who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project “Impacte de la transmissió de bacteris Resistents als AntiMicrobians a la població de BarceLonA a través de parcs infantils (RAMBLA)”.
The overall project goal is to supervise the correct development of the research line of the project, both in a technical, administrative and logistical aspects of the project.
The activities in which the PROJECT MANAGER will be involved related to the Project will be:
- Supervise and ensure the correct involvement of all the stakeholders of the project.
- Track and support technically the characterisation of the bacterial samples isolated from environmental and faecal samples.
- Assess the epidemiological relationship studies on the bacterial isolates from environmental and faecal samples.
- Monitor the citizen-oriented strategies developed in the project.
The tasks will be developed in the research laboratory of the Antimicrobial Resistance group at Centre Esther Koplowitz (CEK).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The key responsibility of the candidate will be to manage the general organization of the project, and ensure that all the tasks are correctly carried out with the techniques performed in our laboratory and other activities within the scope and purpose of the “Impacte de la transmissió de bacteris Resistents als AntiMicrobians a la població de BarceLonA a través de parcs infantils (RAMBLA)” project.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous project management and laboratory experience in the microbiology field (10 years), particularly in antimicrobial resistance.
- Compulsory to have a PhD on clinical microbiology.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in Catalan, English, and Spanish.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
