The Opportunity
We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our global Business Analytics team. As part of this team, you will expertly identify business needs and bring to the table corresponding technical solutions. This role will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate leadership in planning and coordinating the implementation of scalable analytics solutions.
You are excited to work with global eCommerce retailers on various projects, with initiatives ranging from tag management implementations and integrations to automating analytics processes. As the ideal candidate, you are able to collaborate and communicate well with analytics, engineering, BI, as well as other multi-functional internal and external team members.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be an integral part of the Business Analytics Department, helping to craft and implement analytics solutions, including tag management and partner integrations.
- You will own the effort to improve the data pipeline with scalable technical solutions, solving for business needs across the data spectrum.
- You will be responsible for leading, crafting and implementing behavioural tracking either in tag management tools (E.g. Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tag Manager, Telium) or via LTIs (Rudder-stack).
- You will identify, diagnose, debug and fix data discrepancies, subsequently closing gaps to ensure accurate and reliable data collection and reporting.
- You will drive technical solutions discussions and delivery timelines.
- You will identify and mitigate risks, as well as communicate those risks and dependencies to partners.
- You will assist with site testing and tracking capabilities.
Key Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of relevant engineering work (eCommerce experience a plus but not mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English with the ability to ensure understanding and adoption of tools and processes.
- Comfortable collaborating with analytics and various partners, including clients, throughout the entire process, from requirement gathering to building and customising tools.
- High precision with excellent attention to detail.
- Understands the strengths and limitations of various tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Proactive and self-motivated to keep up with updates to relevant tools and processes.
- Preferred: experience with single-page applications and LTIs (Rudder-stack).
