Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team, adopting agile methodologies within a DevOps-centric framework
- Design, implement, deploy, release, and monitor team applications, while participating in pull request reviews
- Understand business objectives by engaging with colleagues from various divisions of our client
- Participate in planning and feature refinement sessions alongside your team
- Partner with Solution Architects to design solutions aligned with Julius Baer's architecture vision
- Contribute to our Software Engineering communities by sharing expertise and supporting peers
- Deliver high-quality code consistent with client guidelines and standards
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Proven background in backend software engineering with .NET Core and Entity Framework
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, SQL databases (MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres), and service-oriented architectures
- Skills in streaming technologies like Kafka and Avro
- Knowledge of .NET Core and Framework, Entity Framework, service-oriented architecture, RESTful services, SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), Angular, React, both JavaScript and Typescript; Kubernetes (PKS) and Virtual Machines; Streaming with Kafka, Avro; Open API, UML
- Familiarity with TDD, BDD, and robust automated testing strategies
- Understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and contributing to technological advancement
- A pragmatic, proactive approach with an open and entrepreneurial mindset
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with peers and stakeholders
