PURPOSE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Oversight:Provide a coherent and unified vision for the company’s activities on the future of datalink technologies, ensuring alignment with overall strategy, market positioning, priorities, and resource capacity.
Coordination of Projects:Lead or oversee multiple ongoing projects, such as industry research initiatives and proof of concept (PoC) work, ensuring synergies across projects and alignment with strategic goals.
Discovery and Innovation: Identify opportunities for new projects in discovery mode, proposing, scoping, launching, and driving internal initiatives that align with emerging trends in the datalink domain.
Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with potential partners to co-develop innovative solutions in discovery mode, expanding the ecosystem of collaboration.
Industry Representation: Attend industry events, represent the company in speaking engagements, and act as a thought leader to promote the company’s vision in the future of datalink space.
Internal Alignment:Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including cross-functional teams and Leadership Team, to align efforts and gain buy-in for strategic initiatives.
Funding and Resources:Identify market opportunities, build Business cases and assumptions models, and seek funding within the organization when it makes sense to support strategic projects and ensure effective allocation of resources.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, prioritize initiatives, and make decisions that align with long-term objectives, especially in fast-evolving areas like future trends in aviation.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled in working closely with internal stakeholders, including executives and technical teams, to gain alignment and drive strategic initiatives based on market intelligence and industry analysis.
Project Coordination: Experienced in leading cross-functional teams and managing parallel initiatives, such as the evolution of ATC datalink services, ensuring timely and coherent delivery.
Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of aviation connectivity, communication technologies, and the aviation ecosystem, with a strong focus on the next wave of innovation.
Communication and Representation: Strong presentation skills to convey complex market insights and represent SITA at industry events, contributing to thought leadership in connected aircraft services.
Business Development: Proven track record in developing strategic partnerships and supporting new portfolio growth aligned with emerging customer needs and industry shifts.
Adaptability and Innovation: Comfortable working in a discovery-driven, data-rich environment, fostering agile thinking and future-focused product development under uncertainty.
