About the job
The ServiceNow platform owner is a strong technical expert who will be accountable for end-to-end service delivery. This person must ensure the platform is governed, operated, and maintained to an agreed level of service.
Main responsibilities
  • Represent the service across the organization.
  • Play a significant role in achieving overall customer satisfaction for the service.
  • Lead technical assessments to improve systems, processes, integrations, tools, etc.
  • Work closely with other stakeholders (local or outsourced) to define and oversee different initiatives related to the platform or its components. In such cases, the platform owner is also responsible for clearly communicating, defining, and quantifying each step, as well as establishing concrete deadlines for each milestone and deliverable.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving if required.
About you
Technical background required
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing the platform.
  • In-depth understanding of ServiceNow architecture, including database structure and application design, allowing you to build and maintain scalable solutions.
  • Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting complex issues within the ServiceNow platform, ensuring high system reliability and performance.
  • Well-versed in ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines, consistently delivering high-quality, compliant solutions.
  • Strong background in developing and maintaining integrations with third-party systems, utilizing REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC, LDAP, SSO, and other relevant protocols to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies is a plus, enabling you to customize and enhance ServiceNow applications effectively.
  • Experience in migrating or splitting ServiceNow applications is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and presentations for leadership, ensuring transparency and understanding of network initiatives and their impact.
  • Ability to think strategically, foreseeing potential challenges and developing proactive solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to overcoming obstacles and finding effective solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
