Shop Manager – International Cruise Ships (Retail Leadership Role)

Salary: €2,773 base gross + €1,350 monthly bonus gross

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead the onboard retail team and oversee the operation of shops and product exhibition areas aboard international cruise ships. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment while traveling to some of the most beautiful destinations around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily retail operation, including team supervision, stock control, and visual merchandising
- Achieve sales and service targets while ensuring a high standard of customer experience
- Oversee inventory logistics, including loading, unloading, and stock replenishment
- Build strong relationships with guests and enhance customer engagement
- Lead and develop a diverse team of shop attendants, specialists, and supervisors
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies
- Prepare sales reports, voyage summaries, and guest feedback analysis
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and sales skills, with a results-driven mindset
- Solid knowledge of visual merchandising and sales techniques
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
- Fluent in English (minimum B2 level)
- Proficiency in at least one additional European language: Italian, French, German, or Spanish
- Availability to live and work onboard for approximately 5 months
- Willingness to complete the mandatory STCW safety training (approx. 10 days; cost reimbursed after completing first contract)
