About the role
Monks is looking for a talented and imaginative Social Media Designer to help shape the visual and creative presence of an iconic automotive brand across digital platforms. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a design-savvy and creative team to develop and adapt standout social content tailored for diverse regional and local markets.
From mood boards to final executions, you’ll help translate strategic insights into visually engaging narratives that elevate the brand’s voice and visual identity.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the strategist and content managers to generate clear, impactful visual ideas and assets for local market social campaigns.
- Analyse regional needs and ensure all visuals meet brand guidelines and quality standards across platforms.
- Own the design process end-to-end—from concepting to final execution—within fast-paced deadlines.
- Manage the visual direction of the Social Media Calendar, aligning assets with campaign messaging and platform best practices.
- Conduct thorough image research to source and curate high-quality visuals that elevate campaign composition and storytelling.
- Present visual concepts and final designs to internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Lead smaller projects independently, or take ownership of design components within larger campaigns, ensuring every deliverable meets creative excellence.
About you
The essentials:
- 4+ years of proven experience in a creative or communications agency, with a strong understanding of the full creative process.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social media campaigns, digital design, and brand storytelling.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects); bonus if you’re proficient in tools like Figma, Sketch, or video/color editing.
- Solid grasp of design fundamentals—typography, layout, hierarchy, interaction design, and visual flow.
- Experience with presentation tools like Google Slides to help craft compelling client decks.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard for visual quality.
- Naturally creative and solutions-oriented mind, capable of generating out-of-the-box ideas.
- Curious, humble, and motivated to grow and improve your craft.
- Comfortable balancing creative innovation with repetitive production work when needed.
- A collaborative spirit—proactive, open to feedback, and always ready to support the team.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
