The Role
We're seeking a Social Media Content Creator (Part-Time) to boost Groupon's visibility on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. About 90% of your time will be creating videos (filming, editing, and publishing content that promotes vendors and deals). The remaining 10% is about tracking social trends and ad hoc cooperation with the Social Media Manager, who will be your mentor and main contact.
You'll often visit vendors, try their deals, and create authentic content that inspires customers to buy. This internship is part of a trial initiative in two markets, with the possibility to expand into future UGC/content creator roles.
Location: Madrid or London
- Duration: 3–6 months with potential transition to full-time, up to 20 hours/week.
️ What You'll Do
Video Creation (Core Focus)
- Produce authentic, trend-aligned short-form videos from concept to final edit.
- Confidently appear on-camera where needed, showcasing deals, vendors, and experiences.
- Proactively seek opportunities to highlight Groupon's partners and services in creative ways.
Trend Awareness & Market Insights
- Monitor TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts for rising content formats.
- Adapt and localize trends into videos that resonate with Groupon's market.
- Work closely with Nela to identify weekly/monthly deal focus.
✂️ Editing & Publishing
- Film and edit videos independently using apps like CapCut, InShot, or Canva.
- Ensure pacing, hooks, and storytelling keep audiences engaged.
- Upload final content with consistency and attention to platform best practices.
Measures of Success
- Social content performance (views, likes, engagement, shares, saves, watch length).
- Ability to adapt to fast-moving trends quickly and effectively.
- Consistency of content creation, maintaining both high output and quality.
- Increasing creative independence — by 90 days, generating ideas and delivering videos with minimal guidance.
What We're Looking For
✅ Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Enthusiasm for social media, especially TikTok and Instagram.
- Strong knowledge of platform trends and ability to create engaging content.
- On-camera confidence and authentic presence.
- Basic video editing skills with mobile editing tools.
- Basic design sense with Canva (or similar).
- UK-based candidates: English (Native level required). Spain-based candidates: Spanish (Native level) and intermediate English required
- Highly creative and proactive, capable of managing your own content ideas and agenda.
- Comfortable operating independently while staying closely aligned with the team leader's guidance.
- Growth mindset: eager to learn, experiment, and adapt quickly.
- Organized and responsible; able to measure your own progress against goals.
Coachable / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Storytelling techniques and advanced video editing
- Strong personal social media presence or prior experience as a content creator/influencer
- Background in marketing, media, or communications
