We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in our new facilities in Sant Quirze del Vallès .
As the Supply Chain Manager at Leanbio, you will be responsible for overseeing purchasing and warehouse management to ensure the seamless flow of materials required for manufacturing and R&D operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards, contributing to the overall success of our bio-pharmaceutical production.
- Industry Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or warehouse management within the bio-pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Experience in a CDMO environment is a strong plus.
- Procurement & Inventory Expertise:
- Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for bio pharmaceutical raw materials and consumables.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and logistics.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- In-depth knowledge of GMP and GDP, and other relevant regulatory guidelines affecting procurement and storage.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills to optimize inventory management and procurement decisions.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing supplier relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsabilities:
1. Procurement Management:
- Develop and execute a strategic purchasing plan to secure high-quality raw materials, reagents, and consumables essential for production.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors, ensuring cost effectiveness and quality compliance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and supply chain stability.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
2. Warehouse & Inventory Management:
- Oversee the storage, handling, and distribution of materials, ensuring optimal stock levels to support production demands.
- Implement inventory control systems, minimizing waste and ensuring traceability of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to enhance efficiency and safety.
3. Supply Chain Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging new technologies and best practices to streamline supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, and R&D teams to align supply chain strategies with production and business goals.
4. Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement and warehouse processes adhere to GMP
- Maintain accurate documentation of transactions, inventory records, and supplier agreements.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and warehouse operations.
5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team responsible for procurement and warehouse operations and procurement, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Finance, and R&D teams to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
- Develop training programs for staff on best practices in procurement, warehouse management, and regulatory compliance.
