To provide the highest standards of quality, service delivery, and accuracy within the Operations function by reviewing instructions received from Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants, accurately entering submission data into systems, and preparing policy documentation. You will support the Operations Manager as a Process Owner for all retained and outsourced processing activities and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these work elements.
Key Responsibilities:
Active Listening:
Collaborate with Underwriters, Underwriting Assistants, and brokers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of instructions to accurately process submissions and policy documentation.
Attention to Detail:
Create submissions in systems by extracting information from broker documents and internal emails, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in data entry.
Prepare required policy documentation within agreed SLAs and quality standards, maintaining a high level of precision.
Operational Excellence:
Undertake audits and Quality Control checks of both retained and outsourced work elements to ensure the highest standards of delivery.
Oversee and maintain delivery of Contract Certainty requirements for both retained and outsourced bookings, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
Data Analysis:
Review and monitor outsourced work elements, track root cause analysis of inefficiencies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Produce system over-limit reports and daily SOX reporting for Team Leader sign-off, leveraging data insights to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Business Partnership & Consulting:
Act as a trusted advisor by proactively gaining and developing knowledge of all P&C lines of business to facilitate accurate processing for both retained and outsourced work elements.
Customer Knowledge:
Support Credit Control with the management of credit referrals within agreed limits of authority, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently.
Multi-tasking and Prioritization:
Manage multiple tasks, including processing broker closings, monitoring outsourced work, and quality-checking booking requests, while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
Records Management:
Maintain accurate records of submissions, policy documentation, and monthly global RI treaty input to the Registration System within agreed timescales.
Service Delivery Effectiveness:
Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to SLAs, measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of service delivery to meet desired standards.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve issues in outsourced work elements, diagnosing problems, determining resolutions, and implementing effective solutions.
Time Management:
Structure and control time effectively to meet deadlines for audits, reporting, and processing activities.
Continuous Improvement:
Adopt an ethos of continuous review to improve processes, automate tasks, simplify workflows, and eliminate non-value steps.
