And at the European Shared Services Center based in Cornellà de Llobregat, with more than 300 employees, we support the group's various subsidiaries of all Europe and other regions. We have built an outstanding multicultural environment composed by employees of around 30 different nationalities.
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with English and Dutch based in Barcelona, for a permanent contract.
You will be responsible for timely resolution of vendor/internal discrepancies related to outstanding vendor invoice issues.
You will be coordinating and liaising effectively with a wide range of clients including suppliers as well as internal customers from various departments.
As Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:
Investigate and resolve incoming queries from suppliers, buyers, and requisitioners in a timely and professional manner.
Apply complex standard processes to resolve detailed issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Reconcile vendor accounts and ensure data accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new country rollouts and process implementations, acting as the subject matter expert for country-specific requirements.
Process intercompany (IL) vendor invoices in SAP.
Supporte the Accounts Payable invoice entry team and provide backup for other countries, depending on language capabilities.
Liaise with Procurement and Vendor Master Data teams as needed.
Report and maintain standard business metrics and KPIs.
Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll at least need:
Languages: Fluent Dutch and Fluent English are required. French is a plus.
Education: study in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, preferably with a specialization in Accounts Payable or Finance.
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a business or office environment (internships or work experience), ideally within an Accounts Payable or Finance function.
Accounting Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounts payable processes, invoice handling, and vendor account reconciliation.
Systems Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Technical Skills:
Ability to navigate ERP systems and perform data entry with accuracy.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
Analytical Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
Capable of investigating and resolving complex queries.
Work Style:
Able to plan and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice to have's
Experience with SAP (preferably in an MM/FI environment) is highly desirable.
