This position is for the Payments Hub team. We are currently extending our cloud native payments processing platform to Santander banks and other financial institutions, with the aim of providing a single access to most domestic and international payment methods at global scale.

As Head of Architecture for EU you will participate in defining the Payments Hub strategy for the Eurozone product offering and lead the design of the enterprise architecture for those products. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment between global strategy and local needs.
We need someone like you to help us in different areas:
- Contribute to the definition of the architecture reference models.
- Participate in the discovery phase of all initiatives to define the strategy for each client and producing functional architecture for projects.
- Provide support during the design phases, ensuring the development of a product that offers value to customers, financial institutions, and the open market.
- Strategic vision of the evolution of the payments industry in that geography, forecasting new capabilities or challenges facing the payments domain.
- Foster cooperation and reuse of assets among the initiatives in all countries.
- Manage the relationship with the CTO, CIO and CDO areas of the Santander subsidiaries of that geography, as with the equivalent areas of the other clients.
- Define the integration architectures with the clients' platforms.
EXPERIENCE
At least 10 years of experience in IT senior positions: Payments Senior Solution/Enterprise Architect.
- High capacity for conceptualisation and synthesis of ideas.
- Functional knowledge of the payments industry.
- High capacity for high-level dialogue in decision-making forums.
- Good communication skills and ability to present ideas to the community.
- Vision of the technological platform and related models (integration architecture, associated operating model, implementation).
- Technological knowledge of established technologies (microservices, events, APIS…) and emerging technologies (i.e. Artificial Intelligence, blockchain... ) focused on the specific application in the appropriate use cases in the field of payments.
- Team management and leadership by influence.
