Job Description
We are currently recruiting a CAD Specialist for Civil Infrastructure designs of a wide variety of projects, including, but not limited to roadways and railways drainage, stormwater, sewer, pipe networks, etc. to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Our group has an established track record of successfully delivering civil engineering design for many years, throughout the USA and Australia, not to mention Canada or the Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team. It can be a great opportunity for a CAD Specialist that wants to boost his/her professional career on Civil Infrastructure drafting on an international environment, with a great opportunity to learn new Digital software platforms.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Analyzes and adheres to the project CAD standards.
- Prepares finished design drawings from sketches, notes and layout details in CAD 2D and 3D.
- Works in engineering project collaboration software platforms (i.e., ProjectWise, BIM360).
- Self-checks drawings for quality assurance, following the QAQC procedure in force in the project.
- Works in a team-based environment that involves coordination with colleagues based in different offices.
- Performs the responsibilities under limited supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Expert in the use of CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation). Software accreditation will be considered favorable.
- Working experience in modelling using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRoads Designer will be considered favorable.
- Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise.
- Communicative level of English (oral and written).
- Experience working for Transport or Water Authority clients in the USA, Canada and Australia will be considered favorable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificated in a drafting technology Institute, Technical or similar Professional Education or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
