Job Description
Hotel SO/ Sotogrande, located in the beautiful coastal town of Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our team. As a key member of our food and beverage department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, demonstrating knowledge of menu items
- Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently
- Ensure tables are properly set and maintained throughout service
- Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the dining area
- Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events or functions
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Excellent communication abilities in both verbal and written form
- Proven experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Team player mentality with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed
- Keen attention to detail in all aspects of service
- Fluency in English and Spanish; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food handling certification (may be provided by the employer)
- Knowledge of wines and cocktails is advantageous
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
