Role purpose
The purpose of the team is to ensure the right quality data is used for decision making and this role is vital to ensure data quality is embedded in all information streams within Vodafone. The role is responsible to create trust and robustness in
the data quality of major data initiatives within Group D&A and across Markets to drive Vodafone’s strategy to become a data driven organisation. Responsible to drive governance and quality assurance across the existing D&A portfolio within
Group and local markets. Productive working relationships will need to be developed with Programme
Workstreams to manage interdependencies.
Key accontabilities
Ensure Data Quality for Decision-Making: Guarantee that all data used for strategic decisions is accurate, trustworthy, and fit for purpose.- Drive Data Governance and Quality Assurance: Lead governance and quality standards for major data initiatives across different business groups and local markets.
- Perform Data Analysis and Validation: data analysis, profiling, and validation to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Implement Technical Solutions: Apply strong PL/SQL skills, especially in GCP BigQuery, to support business-led technology programs and the systems development lifecycle.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Build strong relationships with both technical and business stakeholders, managing dependencies and ensuring clear, effective communication.
- Improve Processes: Actively work to improve data quality processes and support the rollout of the data quality roadmap across the organization.
What you bring
Minimum of 3 years' experience in data analysis, profiling, and validation, with a proven ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.Demonstrated expertise in PL/SQL, with a strong preference for experience using GCP BigQuery.
Proven track record of supporting business-led, technology-enabled programs, with a solid understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (english) to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
A proactive and curious mindset, with a strong drive to continuously improve data processes and quality standards.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage interdependencies in a complex, matrixed organization.
Strong data governance and documentation skills to ensure the integrity and robustness of information streams.
Fluent in English with strong presentational skills.
