We are looking for a Deputy Destination Manager for our branch office in Tenerife who will be responsible for the daily operations of the area. As a Deputy Destination Manager, you will work very closely with the Destination Manager with the aim to ensure the business growth of our business and achieving high quality standards in our operations.
Main responsibilities:
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with clients leading them to further growth.
- Managing existing clients, understanding their requirements and business models to ensure their needs are being met.
- Guarantee the compliance of the service level agreement with our clients and suppliers.
- Ensure the quality in the daily operations of the destination.
- Ensure a fruitful collaboration with all the suppliers at the destination (transfer, excursions, etc..) ensuring high quality standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and customers satisfaction.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective processes with high level client’s service.
- Risk management and preparation of an action plan in case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g; strike, fires, floods, etc.) to guarantee the operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline process and improve overall business performance.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Give support to the department managers and the destination manager managing the Team in the destination.
- Elaboration, analysis and interpretation of competitive report to provide information for making better decisions.
- Collaborate with the different teams and departments in our Main Office and Shared Service Center in Palma de Mallorca (Operations, IT, Product, Commercial, etc.).
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years working in a commercial, contracting or destination management position.
- Degree in Tourism, Business Administration or similar.
- Good knowledge of incoming travel agency operations.
- Solid and extensive understanding of the destinations and products mainly in the Mediterranean area.
- Fluent English, other languages will be a plus.
- Analytical skills, used to work with a data warehouse.
- Understanding the different source markets and key market players in the Tenerife area.
