About the job
The Product Owner will join the CXA (Consumer Experience and Analytics) Digital Product team, which is part of the Consumer Healthcare Digital Growth Hub and Commercial organization. This team is responsible for managing the worldwide solution portfolio, roadmap, and projects in this area. As the digital organization expands into the CXA space, the primary focus will be on building DAM capabilities and establishing a robust collaboration model with both business stakeholders and the broader digital organization. The role requires close collaboration with Science teams to support MLR processes and ensure compliant asset usage, as well as with website and brand teams to enable efficient content syndication across digital channels. The Product Owner DAM will be responsible for defining the vision and roadmap for the global DAM platform, driving adoption across markets and functions, ensuring governance and metadata standards, and enabling efficient asset lifecycle management in alignment with brand and regulatory requirements.
Main responsibilities:
The Product Owner Digital Asset Management (DAM) will play a key role in shaping how our organization manages, governs, and distributes digital assets at scale. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle of the DAM platform—ensuring it meets the evolving needs of brand, marketing, content, and digital teams.
This role is responsible for driving the continuous improvement of the platform, from roadmap definition and feature prioritization to stakeholder alignment and vendor management. The Digital Product Owner will focus on improving asset searchability , automating metadata tagging, enabling smart integrations with downstream systems, and ensuring proper rights and usage governance.
You will collaborate cross-functionally to create a connected ecosystem where digital assets are consistently accessible, properly managed, and fully leveraged to drive business value.
As the Product Owner DAM, you will take full ownership of the platform strategy, roadmap, and user experience. You will translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions that improve asset lifecycle management and simplify how teams create, store, and share digital content.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Own the strategic vision and roadmap for the DAM platform, aligned with business and user needs
  • Gather and prioritize requirements from marketing, creative, legal, brand, and digital stakeholders
  • Define and document user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
  • Collaborate with IT, vendors, and integrators to deliver platform enhancements and support scalable integrations
  • Drive automation in metadata enrichment, tagging, content classification, and asset expiration workflows
  • Define and enforce governance policies, usage rights, and taxonomy structures across all assets
  • Support onboarding, training, and adoption across teams and regions
  • Continuously monitor platform usage, performance, and ROI using analytics and user feedback
  • Stay up to date with emerging DAM technologies, AI tools, and industry best practices
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Platform Lead for a DAM system or content operations platform
  • Hands-on experience managing enterprise DAM platforms (e.g., Bynder, Adobe Experience Manager Assets, Aprimo, Brandfolder, etc.)
  • Experience defining product roadmaps, writing user stories, and working in Agile environments
  • Strong understanding of digital asset workflows, rights management, and metadata governance
  • Previous involvement in system integrations (e.g., CMS, PIM, MRM, creative tools, automation platforms)
  • Familiarity with creative operations, marketing workflows, or brand management is a plus
Soft skills:
  • Visionary and pragmatic thinker—able to balance long-term platform strategy with short-term delivery
  • Skilled in stakeholder management, with the ability to gather input from diverse teams and align priorities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, including the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable to change in a fast-moving digital environment
  • Comfortable leading conversations with vendors and cross-functional implementation teams
Technical skills:
  • Deep knowledge of DAM systems, metadata models, taxonomy design, and rights management
  • Experience with smart tagging, AI-assisted asset categorization, and automation in asset workflows
  • Understanding of API-based system integrations and interoperability between DAM and other platforms (e.g., CMS, PIM, CRM)
  • Familiarity with digital asset performance tracking, usage analytics, and reporting tools
  • Awareness of data security, compliance, and GDPR as it applies to asset storage and usage
  • Basic understanding of cloud storage, file formats (image, video, 3D), and compression standards
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
Languages: Advanced English required, Spanish or French preferred
