Job Description
The Technical Platform team plays a critical role in Nexthink’s cloud-native multi-tenant product family. In addition to other functions, we own and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers services that ingest, aggregate, and process events from tens of millions of endpoints every second, and which provides all major customer facing functionality.
We are looking for an experienced engineering manager to build and lead a high performing team, in a role that defines and executes our architectural vision with operational excellence. This is a technical leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of scalability, automation and engineering excellence, in a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for evolving and scaling our cloud infrastructure, refining CI/CD processes, building a self-service platform, and adopting best practices across all aspects of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and manage Infrastructure Engineers and build a high-performing team specializing in AWS.
- Attract, hire and retain the best talent, and nurture and drive team culture.
- Own and lead engineering processes, architectural evolution, and technical roadmaps.
- Manage project priorities and product deliveries.
- Manage the technical debt, security, quality and engineering decisions in an efficient and structured manner.
- Evangelize, drive and continuously improve our methodologies for infrastructure and software development to continue building our product iteratively.
- Ensure coordination and full alignment between different teams across multiple locations.
- Contribute technically within the team to architectural decisions, code reviews, and prototypes.
Qualifications
- B.S. or Master in Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure engineering with a focus on cloud technologies
- 2+ years of experience leading and managing a team
- Extensive experience with AWS, IaC and CI/CD tooling
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Networking
- Experience dealing with internationally distributed teams will be highly valued
- Ability to work in a multicultural and fast paced environment
- Prior experience as software engineer or architect with an excellent understanding of coding and software development, with the ability to discuss technical details and provide insightful inputs
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders like Security, Architecture, and Product Engineers to align product and engineering roadmaps
- Experience in leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring engineers towards delivering timely and high-quality software while growing them to the next level
- Action oriented and result driven mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient English (spoken and written)
