Join us as a Grid Expert and play a pivotal role in driving the success of our cutting-edge projects in Spain, from industrial and logistics developments to data centres, photovoltaics, and EV charging stations.
More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity:
- to act as the primary point of contact between Goodman and TSO/DNO's by :
- Fostering a dynamic network of contacts and ensuring liaison with electricity grid operators and relevant national/local authorities.
- Monitoring and knowledge sharing on developments of national/regional regulatory framework and market for grid connection of logistics/industrial projects, data centres and renewable energies in alignment with other internal stakeholders. Fostering network of contacts with suppliers and contractors and any other parties relevant to project and delivery of grid connection works.
- to provide technical development support and asset management support, which includes:
- Evaluating origination leads in terms of grid connection (technically and cost-wise).
- Preparing the required documentation for grid connection applications.
- Supporting Project Managers and monitoring the pipeline grid permitting procedure, ensuring compliance with TSO/DSO permit milestones.
- Complying with the grid system operator's internal processes, which includes supervising and assisting in the successful design approval of the proposed scheme.
- Verifying and optimising the solution set out in the relevant grid system operator's technical and financial proposal.
- Assisting Project managers in or leading negotiations with other players to successfully close connection sharing agreements. Evaluation of different energy storage technologies and configurations based on technical and financial parameters.
- Close liaison with Goodman data centre and innovation teams & portfolio management, to ensure standardization and quality, knowledge sharing and best practice.
Do you recognize yourself?
- More than 5 years of relevant work experience and above-average expertise in the design, construction or operation of grid connection projects, with experience in collaborating with the transmission operator (REDEIA) or and the main distribution network operators in Spain.
- University engineering degree or a Master's degree (5 years of higher education) with a specialization in electrical engineering or comparable skills through relevant professional and management experience, preferably combined with further qualification as a network engineer for network technology and network operation.
- Excellent knowledge on Spanish regulatory framework pertaining grid connection and renewable energy solutions.
- Very good skills in assessing the resources found in the networks.
- Excellent communication and social skills, highly motivated, self-starter, confident and resourceful.
- Sparring partner, coach and outspoken team player.
- Moderation and mediation skills.
- Creativity and future orientation with an eye for what is possible.
- Stable, confident personality with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Availability for regular travel within Spain.
