Your role
We are seeking a technically proficient and field-oriented Electromechanical Supervisor to oversee VSL heavy lifting operations on international construction projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
Maintain VSL equipment on site
Operate equipment safely and in accordance with procedures
Workshop Preparation & Testing
Prepare and test heavy lifting equipment in the workshop
Site Supervision
Provide technical supervision of VSL activities on site
Lead and motivate the team to meet project goals
Ensure all operations are carried out safely and in line with VSL standards
Train and guide local workers as needed
Project Planning
Contribute to work preparation and scheduling
Site Management
Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders
Organize and manage site setup
Plan operations and allocate required resources
Prepare and manage work reports and protocols
Maintain regular communication with the VSL Project Manager
Operational Feedback
Provide insights and lessons learned from site activities
Profile sought
Qualifications
Vocational training or technical education
Strong technical foundation (mechanical, hydraulic, or similar)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction or equipment operations
Personal Competencies
Strong communication and team spirit
Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
Open-minded, culturally adaptable, and willing to travel (~60% of the time)
Available for missions ranging from a few days to several months
Independent, reliable, and able to perform under pressure
Flexible regarding working hours
Capable of leading and motivating
Technical Skills
Solid mechanical understanding
Good grasp of hydraulics and structural behavior
Knowledge of electrical systems
Comfortable working with technical documentation
