What you will do
- Manage industrial strategy studies for decision:
- Define the framework for the study, inputs, outputs, and decision schedule.
- Set up the animation bodies and appointment of actors.
- Formalize a decision file and make it evolve until validation or abandonment.
- Validate the assignment in Horse Investments and Project Committee.
- Develop and validate the components' technical policy every year with Production Engineering, Product Engineering and USFT teams, which will be validated in level 1.
- Propose manufacturing or purchasing guidelines (make or buy) for new projects and identify opportunities consistent with the strategy for components.
- In coordination with the corporate business office, the regional operation directors, and the engineering teams, build and study the most convenient scenarios for new business development.
- With Advance Process Engineering team, instruct the capacity analyses according to the mid-term plan (5 years) and identify the decisions to be taken to fit the footprint to the needs (Rightsizing / Capacities Increase)
- Ensure with aftersales and factories the manufacture of parts for vehicles in series and end of life.
- Define and evolve the manufacturing strategy for internally manufactured spare parts.
- For all these activities he/she must consider an extended company point of view to assure all the synergies within the joint venture.
What we’re looking for
• A proven track record in the automotive industry with at least 8 years of experience in Process/Product Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain. Know-how of main stakeholders and mechanical manufacturing processes and projects, from the advance phases to the serial life.
• Excellent skills in communication and demostrated cross-functional management skills. Data driven mindset and synthesis capability.
• Strong competencies in economics and financial fundamentals applied to project management, with a collaborative approach.
• Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; a good level of French or Spanish will be valued.
