Due to the rapid growth of the company, NewCold is going to set up an International Engineering Office in greater Madrid area.
Your role as a Manager International Engineering Office
For this endeavor, we are looking for the right leader, an experienced and visionary Manager Design & Engineering to lead our design team in delivering innovative and efficient solutions for our advanced cold storage facilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in design management, particularly within the logistics or industrial sectors.
- Setting up the Design & Engineering HUB in Madrid
- Managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.
- Evaluating and improving the changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project.
- Developing new engineering concepts for the benefit of our warehouses (a.o. Energy Management)'
- Providing input regarding project outcomes and resolving escalated issues arising from operations in coordination with other departments.
- Providing strategic direction to ensure successful project outcomes and completion.
- Giving engineering Life-cycle support to realized warehouses and providing support to Business development initiatives.
- Providing support to Operational initiatives while safeguarding Newcold’s Design and Engineering standards.
- Prepare the tender packages for the general contractor and other specialist contractors.
- Support with the permitting process and strategy.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking motivated and forward-thinking individuals who thrive in collaborative and fast-moving environments.
For this position we are looking for an experienced leader with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. You have a degree in Building & Construction engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent at Bachelor/Master level. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years of experience in design & engineering, preferably in logistics, industrial, construction or related sectors.
Furthermore, the preferred candidate has:
- Proven track record of leading design teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to the industry.
