At Liftra we provide design, engineering, production and operation of tailor-made lifting and transport solutions for the global wind industry for Onshore and Offshore applications. As part of our growth journey, we are looking for a NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector to strengthen our Quality Department. You’ll be a key technical figure in ensuring the quality and safety of Liftra products.
About the job
As NDT Inspector, you will be part of the Quality Control department and report directly to the Quality Engineer responsible of the region. Your mission will be to ensure the quality and safety of Liftra products by performing, when necessary, extra checks, non-destructive testing of materials and structures and participate in the inspections by the suppliers to ensure that they are done according to the standards.
You will plan and conduct NDT extra inspections and surveys in accordance with applicable standards and technical specifications, interpreting results and reporting any non-conformities found. You will also be responsible for calibration and maintenance of the measuring equipment owned by Liftra in proper technical condition and participating in the development of testing procedures collaborating with other technical departments to ensure continuous improvement of production processes and the quality of final products in line with projects needs.
Your primary tasks
- Inspection and registration of Liftra instruments, equipment, and components used in NDT.
- Ensure correct inspection (spot checks, participate in inspections or re-inspect) of steel structures and components produced by subcontractors at the subcontractor's facilities for quality compliance, as well as documentation accuracy,
- Make sure we are in compliance with ISO 9001, EN 1090, ISO 3834, ISO 45001 standards.
- Review documentation to determine the quality requirements of structures.
- Prepare reports and records of inspections and testing performed (normally they should be done by the suppliers).
- In line with Manfucaturing Engineer/Quality Control, make sure that records resulting from applicable procedures are created, supervised, and stored for quality control.
- In line with Manfucaturing Engineer requirement, monitoring and supervising the welding process if needed,
- Cooperate with other production departments to improve the quality of manufactured components.
About you
- VT 2, MT 2 Competence Certificates (in accordance with EN-ISO 9712), any knowledge or certificates in UT will be also taken into consideration as a plus for the position.
- Knowledge of MS Office software suite.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding technical documentation.
- Knowledge of welding technology.
- Experience performing and supervising NDT.
- Availability for travel to visit suppliers regularly.
- Fluent in English
Desirable:
- Welding inspector / ICS-2 / IWI.
- Painting inspector / FROSIO.
