The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) offers a position of Orderly-Receptionist in the General Services Unit.

- Minimum 1 year performing customer service and public-facing tasks.
- Ability to carry out tasks that require physical effort.
Desired:
- Experience in the Health Sector as a Orderly-Receptionist.
- Experience in filling laboratory sample storage systems in Liquid Nitrogen.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance tasks.
- Competences in: Teamwork, communication, proactivity, flexibility and customer orientation
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Support to all VHIR staff in the auxiliary tasks that are needed (courier, reception, transfers, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with the VHIR's internal regulations regarding the operation and safety of its buildings:
- Supervise the laboratories and freezers in the different locations on a daily basis.
- Follow the protocols for action in the event of alarms.
- Check the levels of the liquid nitrogen tanks and carry out the loading periodically.
- Moving objects, especially heavy objects (appliances, tables, furniture, transfers, etc.).
- To assist laboratories and common rooms in the installation of new equipment.
- Control of access to VHIR buildings through security lists (entrances and exits of authorised personnel).
- Manage internal mail.
- To transport samples, documentation and various materials between the buildings of the Campus as appropriate.
- Support in the logistics of dissemination and organization of courses and seminars.
- Receive and deliver VHIR parcels.
- Registration and report of material needs for cleaning staff or in general maintenance of buildings.
- Carry out the designated activities in accordance with the established procedures and, where appropriate, participate in their updating.
- To ensure that the activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements established in the procedures of the Unit's quality system, to promote and implement continuous improvement in its field of action.
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 35h/week.
- Starting date: 28/08/2025
- Working Hours: 14:00 - 21:00
- Gross annual salary: 18.697,87 euros. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Temporary 28/08 to 10/09 (Annual leave cover)
