The Product Manager Pharma will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous success of our Pharma and Health business. You will strengthen our core business globally and also participate in key growth initiatives. One key element of the role is Portfolio Management to reinforce our profitability across the entire product line.
This remote role can be based in one of the European countries where we have a site, e.g. Spain, Italy or Portugal. Regular business trips for meetings with the European teams are expected.
Tasks and requirements:
- Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
- Generate insights into market needs and customer gals via direct and indirect customer interaction as well as analysis of market research data.
- Works closely with Business development to drives overall product strategy, research and development requirements, product innovation, development, and product positioning for new and emerging products.
- Formulates product development objectives based on Voice of Customer / Market.
- Commercial owner of Stage Gate process during for all phases of product development. Understands and builds commercialization strategy for all new products.
- Provides product line expertise with respect to competitor’s product offerings and relative share of demand as well as produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
- Works closely with regulatory team and other key departments to understand upcoming changes in product and regulatory requirements and converts them into implications for the customer, market and kp.
- Manages day-to-day progress of product, working closely with Sales to balance company revenue and margin objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction goals are met.
- Manages the interface of customer requirements and operations through the development of product specifications in conjunction with other Value Stream members.
- Facilitates, in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications teams, promotional activities including, but not limited to, Trade shows, Technical Symposia, Association presentations, as well as case histories, technical articles, communication briefs for all new products in the product line.
- Ensures that a solid technical documentation platform including regulatory and most recent sustainability needs in the related market space is available for commercial teams.
Who we are looking for:
You might be a match with a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S. – in business, marketing, sciences or engineering ) and two to three years’ experience in related Industry; a MBA is a plus. Even more important to us is to find an energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image to help us growing the business.
More Requirements:
- Experience in Portfolio Management, technical documentation, regulatory needs, sustainability certification in the Pharma & Health space.
- Experience in Managing technical and/or innovation projects in a manufacturing company.
- Ability to analyze various data with Excel, especially Pivot functions.
- Ability to communicate, open-mindedly, to be part of a cross functional global team.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Fluent professional language skills in English required; German language reading skills helpful but not required.
