Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Security Software Engineer to join our Client's team and support the secure deployment, administration, and integration of applications in modern cloud and containerized environments. You will work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies, support microservices-based architectures, and implement security best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, deploy, administer, and support applications running on OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters.
Develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot, implementing secure APIs.
Manage application integration with REST APIs and OAuth 2.0 authorization flows.
Develop Helm charts and manifest files for Kubernetes deployments.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and UrbanCode.
Utilize cloud-managed services in AWS, including EKS, EC2, KMS, ELB, API-Gateway, and CloudWatch.
Implement Canary and Blue/Green deployment strategies for minimal downtime and safe rollouts.
Perform API testing and validation using Postman and other test frameworks.
Work with SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases to support application data needs.
Monitor and troubleshoot applications using observability tools like Dynatrace, Elastic, and AWS CloudWatch.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review data, supervise processes, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Requirements
Proven experience in deploying, administering, and supporting applications in OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.
Solid understanding of container technologies, including Docker.
Strong experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and OAuth 2.0 authorization.
Proficiency in developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and UrbanCode.
Experience with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
Knowledge of AWS cloud services, especially EKS, EC2, KMS, ELB, API-Gateway, and CloudWatch.
Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
Familiarity with canary and blue/green deployment strategies.
Experience in agile development environments, working with Jira and Confluence.
Strong analytical skills for data review and process supervision.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
English proficiency at B2-C1 level; Spanish fluency is a plus.
Education
Graduate, Licentiate, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
