The role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee a variety of day-to-day operational tasks and ensure accurate financial records. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the Accounting & Financial Operations team based in Barcelona, as well as with other departments, to improve our processes whilst ensuring compliance.
What will you be doing?
- Participate in and own areas of the monthly and yearly closings as well as perform daily bookkeeping.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee accuracy and completeness across different companies within the group.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations across different geographies.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting procedures, especially for accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in the implementation of accounting tools & software.
- Continuously improve financial processes to support company scalability.
- Prepare for and support annual audits, including compiling required documentation.
- Generate financial reports and KPIs for internal stakeholders upon request.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on finance matters throughout the business.
What will make you a great fit
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Spanish GAAP and local tax legislation.
- Experience managing all areas of accounting operations.
- Proficiency with accounting software - NetSuite a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial compliance.
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
- Proven capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Growth mindset - comfortable working in an evolving startup environment.

- Excellent team player
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA/ACCA a plus).

For roles in Customer Care, this can be up to 5 days per week in the office. As such, this role requires you to be within commuting distance of our hubs.
