The Role
This role combines deep technical knowledge of networking technologies with expertise in system observability, incident management, and team leadership.
You will work cross-functionally with Site Reliability Engineers, Network Engineers, DevOps, and Product teams to build scalable monitoring, drive incident readiness, and ensure high availability of mission-critical systems. In this cross-functional leadership position, you will manage a team of network and observability engineers, define KPIs and SLOs, lead major initiatives, and align technical solutions with strategic business goals. Your work will directly impact Nespresso’s ability to deliver robust and high-performing digital experiences across global markets.
In This Role, You Will:
Define and execute the Observability, Network and platform reliability strategy in alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
Strategy Development: lead global observability and reliability across all applications and infrastructure and set and track reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs) and improve the monitoring system.
Develop and manage observability platforms (metrics, logs, traces) using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, etc.
Establish standards and best practices for telemetry, instrumentation, and dashboarding.
Integrate observability into CI/CD workflows and service development lifecycles.
Design and manage scalable and secure network architectures, covering LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and hybrid (on-prem/cloud) environments.
Set and track platform reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs), and develop observability roadmaps for proactive system management.
Develop a deep understanding of business capabilities to drive segmentation, value creation, and technology alignment.
Oversee system observability, incident detection, and resolution across all infrastructure and applications.
Manage monitoring tools and environments, including New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Ensure performance, availability, and security of network infrastructure; lead incident response and implement risk mitigation processes.
Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) to inform proactive investments and technical decision-making.
Partner with CVC Regional Operations Managers to capture local market needs, resolve escalations, and integrate technical solutions into the platform portfolio.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Business Analysts in design thinking sessions and platform evolution.
Serve as the escalation point for partner delivery issues and champion transparent communication of platform vision across stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of network, SRE, and observability engineers.
- Define and implement training, onboarding, and development plans to build long-term capabilities within the team.
- Foster a culture of feedback, continuous improvement, and innovation across teams and virtual global environments.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, System Analysis, or a related field.
10+ years of combined experience in network architecture, platform reliability, and engineering leadership.
Strong knowledge and project experience with Cisco SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, firewall/VPN management, and hybrid infrastructure.
Demonstrated leadership in observability, SRE, or infrastructure reliability across large-scale systems.
Expertise in tools such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Zscaler, Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, Dynatrace, and New Relic.
Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English.
