THE JOURNEY
- Payroll Administration: collect all payroll related information, prepare, generate, check and submit payroll figures on a monthly basis.
- Implement and improve processes.
- Act as the POC for all labor administration issues, ensuring all employee documentation is collected and signed in the correct format
- Manage onboarding, off-boarding, and all job changes for our employees in Spain.
- Set up and maintain an orderly and compliant physical archive
- Proactively ensure the company is compliant with local labor law regulations
- Manage benefits for employees including acting as the POC for several providers (benefits and payroll providers)
- Compile and negotiate conditions for benefits renewals
- Identify employee knowledge gaps and create relevant materials and training to fill those gaps
- Contact employees with regard to matters related to employee documentation
- Create process documentation and manage change management for process changes
- Supporting People Operations Generalist in any other tasks related to internal audit or administration (if needed)
- Collaborating with an external payroll provider in matters related to employee documentation
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
- 2+ years of experience in labour administration ideally in Spain.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling end-to-end payroll process.
- Strong Excel and database management skills.
- Always looking to improve processes and optimizing coordination between departments.
- Detailed oriented.
- Degree/Background in law, politics, immigration law, employee relations, administration, business or similar is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing start-up environment and work with all levels of management.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Proactivity.
- Great communication skills.
- Fluency and perfect writing skills in Spanish and English.
- You are based in Barcelona.
