Test Lead is a challenging role from technical, process, methodology point of view.
As Test Lead, you are an integral part of the software development teams working very closely with software engineers but also part of the SQC community of practice (around 30 people worldwide), contributing to global change via community initiatives and putting your skills and experience at the service of other Test Leads as well as benefitting from their support and from continuous learning and exchanges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that software development teams apply the Testing Methodology (SOP)
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure product and solution quality at every stage of the development process.
- Test continuously the solution to detect bugs as soon as possible
- Review product design documentation to ensure that the requirements stated are correct, unambiguous and verifiable
- Define test plans, design test cases, execute and create test reports to describe programme evaluation, testing and correction
- Report bugs according to guidelines, make sure that the defect tracking system is always updated
- Use quality and tracking tools to trace the progress of the job (e.g. Jira xray, testlink, etc.)
- Maintain effective communication with assigned projects and development teams
- Ensure all automated tests integrate with continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Test automation skills (Java/Selenium)
- Monitor regularly the automation results and diagnose the failures.
- Automate the test cases and maintain the automation updated.
As project/product test lead:
- Define and maintain test strategy
- Coordinate all testers involved in the project and guarantee that the final integration test is planned, executed and documented
- Identify areas for improvement in test processes and propose solutions to increase efficiency and quality
- Provide Management with a valid and unambiguous status of the project from a quality point of view
- Analyze time required and project impact based on time and test coverage estimation
- Ensure that Quality gates (unit test, quality code, etc) are implemented.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or information technology or equivalent education
- Certified ISQTB
- Experience developing tests with Selenium/Junit
- Knowledge of Java programming
- Experiences using an automation framework.
- Experience with GIT.
- 6 Sigma and FMEA experience would be a Plus (specific: equipment mainly)
- Minimum 5 years in solution quality assurance role
- Demonstrated experience in Test automation and manual testing
- Demonstrated experience in equipment testing (specific: equipment mainly)
- Logical, precise, with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Results oriented, goal driven personality
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
- Coordination, communication and reporting skills
- Self-starter highly organized and works well with all functional levels in the organization
- Fluent in English
