POSITION: Business Development Manager ICM
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Purpose 1: The Implantable Cardiac Monitors (ICM) market is growing and expends beyond Cardiology. This market is underpenetrated by Abbott. Abbott has launched a new family of devices (Assert IQ), representing a major step forward in our product portfolio, with unique features, like the longest lasting device in the market. This product and market require dedicated focus and leadership.
Purpose 2: Economic customers have a growing decision power in the Iberia Market. Abbott CRM needs to increase focus on those economic customers through easy access and value propositions to hospitals C-Suite.
To maximize those 2 opportunities, we need a person who can:
Develop and implement Market Access strategies, tailored to each region.
Identify Key Accounts to act as ambassadors
Ensure market leading customer experience, providing unrivalled support.
Builds strong differentiation versus competitive products.
Develop a strong network in key hospitals C-Suite, being a facilitator for Regional Sales managers and the rest of the CRM portfolio.
Partnering with Digital Solutions Manager, develop value propositions like triage to further differentiate Abbott offering through service.
Lead by influence the sales team to ensure alignment and drive results.
Explore new markets beyond Cardiology.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve sales quota per plan.
Implement comprehensive plans to increase Abbott market share
Develop strong business cases for Assert IQ
Be a key contributor to CRM Iberia Leadership Staff in developing strategies
Proactively seek for cross-CRM opportunities
Strong contributor to EMEA ICM strategy
Strong market intelligence to identify unique opportunities and synergies.
Maintain business operations in accordance with corporate policies
Manage a strong network of key decision makers in strategic accounts.
Act as a door opener in well identified Detractors Centers.
Represent the company in a professional manner with highest integrity, following Abbott Medical commercial practices policy and all Abbott Medical standing RA/QA procedures.
Assist his/her general manager to build the yearly operating plan required.
Give support to other areas when needed.
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:
Degree in life science or engineering.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Medical Devices Markets with at least 5 in Cardiac Rhythm Management market.
Strong understanding of the ICM market
Experience in dealing with Hospital C-Suite (Hospital CEO, CFO, Cardiology Head,…)
Demonstrated commercial leadership, consistently overachieving sales objectives.
Language: Spanish (native) and English (minimum C1)
Strong communication skills
Experience in project management. Ability to organize a diverse and complex workload.
Ability to lead, coach/develop and motivate by influence to achieve set goals.
