In this pivotal role, you will support the Rules Team within EMEA Commercial Operations, applying your analytical expertise to enhance underwriting efficiency and optimize business processes. You will work at the intersection of data, technology, and business strategy, utilizing cutting-edge tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python, ChatGPT, and open-source AI, alongside in-house technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Rules Development & Automation:
- Define, code, and test rules for automated processes, including identifying and resolving failures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Underwriting Efficiency Projects:
- Play a key role in strategic projects aimed at improving underwriting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leverage in-house AI solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Data Collaboration & Reporting:
- Partner with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to improve data availability for managing underwriting efforts and portfolio capacity.
- Build and deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive management information (MI) reports on Commercial Lines performance, including migration, production, and data accuracy.
- Process Development & Training:
- Support the development and enhancement of data-driven underwriting processes, such as IIR commission reviews and peer reviews.
- Provide training to underwriters, sales teams, and other stakeholders on renewals triage, portfolio data, and new reporting solutions.
- Database & System Optimization:
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve databases and MI solutions, proposing actionable improvements.
- Manage the transition of work from offline systems to online platforms, including creating work items, monitoring failures, and maintaining dashboards.
- Continuous Learning & Compliance:
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to enhance technical skills and maintain professional credentials.
- Operate within the framework of Chubb’s ethical and general guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data management tools such as Excel (including macros), Python, R, SQL, QlikSense, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with AI tools and open-source technologies is a strong advantage.
- Professional Experience:
- Proven experience in roles such as Actuary, Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Finance Analyst, or similar positions.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Language Skills:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
