At Near Space Labs we design, build and operate a fleet of stratospheric robots to image the earth. We launch our proprietary, balloon-based imaging robots to heights between 40,000 and 60,000 feet. From this vantage point, we capture petabytes of imagery for a variety of use cases.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative QA Image Reviewer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of aerial imagery used in our data products. You’ll play a key part in maintaining our high standards by identifying visual anomalies, supporting data workflows, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Image Quality Review: Carefully inspect aerial imagery for clarity, completeness, and alignment with internal quality standards.
- Annotation & Flagging: Identify and annotate visual anomalies, inconsistencies, or missing data using internal tools and guidelines.
- Support Data Processing: Workflow Collaborate with the team to ensure images progress smoothly through the review pipeline, escalating issues when necessary.
- Feedback & Reporting: Provide structured feedback on recurring quality issues and contribute to internal documentation and improvement efforts.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other reviewers and the team lead to maintain consistency in review standards and share best practices.
Location
Applicants must reside in Spain and hold EU nationality or a valid Spanish work permit. Surrounding Barcelona area preference.
Your Skills
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure adherence to strict deadlines.
- Ability to review processing data, identify trends, and suggest improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work across teams and independently.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with respect to visual data/images.
- Prior experience in a corporate or structured environment
- Experience using Microsoft Office (or similar office software) in a professional setting
- Geospatial/Remote Sensing Experience (nice to have): Familiarity with aerial imagery, mapping principles, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous but not a prerequisite.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including patience and calm in fast-paced or challenging situations.
