What does a Junior Teacher Operations Manager do at Busuu?
- Supports the online teaching team for Busuu’s platforms
- Helps with teacher recruitment, training and onboarding
- Helps motivate and grow our team of online language teachers
- Liaises closely with the Teacher Operations, Education, Live and B2B teams to make sure our clients’ needs are met.
What we’re looking for in a Junior Teacher Operations Manager
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years experience teaching languages to adults in blended or fully digital programs.
- Strong command of English and speak a second language to at least a B2 level (German or French preferred).
- Strong email etiquette
- You are a problem solver. You excel at simplifying and improving processes and projects.
- You are empathetic, patient and have strong people skills.
- You are detail-oriented, whilst being able to zoom out and see the big picture.
- You have strong communication skills: ability to be clear, diplomatic and concise.
- You enjoy hands-on work including working with teachers as well as internal teams.
Bonus Skills & Experience:
- Experience of training and developing language teachers
- Experience leading or managing a large team of teachers
- Business experience or a related degree
- Experience in the EdTech industry
- Experience learning a language as an adult
