We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to support procurement operations in Spain, including contract management and the cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet Honest Greens’ specifications and standards, and that all delivered goods and services comply with contractual agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Launch and manage RFQs (Request for Quotation) and RFPs (Request for Proposal) to ensure competitive sourcing aligned with cost, quality, and sustainability targets.
- Source and negotiate with local & regional suppliers for food, beverage, packaging and other key categories.
- Audit of technical specs and certifications and ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations.
- Own contract management processes; draft, review and maintain supply agreements, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company procurement policies and standards.
- Conduct supplier performance (KPI) and competitiveness analysis to optimize cost and service level.
- Implement the quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of product quality and consistency.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- Ensure continuity of supply while maintaining high standards in quality, sustainability, and traceability.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, pricing and best practices to identify risks as well as cost-saving opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or in related fields.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management in the foodservice & hospitality sector.
- Minimum 5 years experience in procurement in the food sector, with at least 2 years in managerial or team leadership role.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with RFQs, RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor agreement management.
- Deep understanding of the Spanish supplier market, especially for fresh, local, and sustainable food products.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to drive efficiency and innovation in procurement practices.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is requiered.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Advance knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with ERP (SAP, Power BI, …) programs will be a plus.
