The role of the Regional Launch Manager, Region Europe is, together with the countries, to establish & deliver the launch strategy. The overall aim is to ensure that the number of in-time launches as well as the contribution from launches in all Region Europe markets is maximized by ensuring excellence in planning, tracking and executing timely from submission to final launch. For that purpose, the Regional Launch Manager ensures strong technical & commercial launch readiness and efficient post launch tracking.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead strategic development of the regional 2-year rolling launch plan, maximizing economic value, and ensuring strategic fit with global, regional, and country strategies
- Implement a Launch Excellence framework within the International Region coordinating with all relevant global, regional, and country functions to enable best-in-class technical and commercial launch readiness and identification and resolution of potential risks
- Drive timely cross-functional alignment (e.g., with project management, Regulatory, Quality, ESO, Business Development, Portfolio, TechOps, Intellectual Property, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, launch managers) at global, regional, and local level to reach launch targets
- Ensure consistent monitoring of all aspects of the launch process including in-market performance tracking and post-mortem evaluations, ensuring regular transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders and continuous learning and efficiency improvements
- Track the technical and commercial readiness process for all Region Europe launches engaging all key stakeholders at local, regional & global levels
- Ensure strong commercial planning for key launches including assessment & review of country launch scenarios in line with market opportunity
- Act as key contact for countries and regional / global interfaces in all aspects of the regional launch ensuring smooth coordination between all involved functions
- Track and secure Day 1 / in-time pipeline readiness for planned launches; track launch performance for key launches and trigger relevant actions to deliver financial launch target; report and analyze launch readiness and performance with special focus on key launches; support launch target preparation with the countries including guidance based on latest project status, risks and opportunities Own and further develop regional launch framework and planning tools to ensure consistency across the region; run regular launch diagnostic and lessons learned post launch and define actions to improve launch excellence; facilitate best practice sharing
What you need to bring to the role:
- University Degree in Science and/or Business Degree; scientific background desirable
- Fluency in English required and other regional languages desirable (e.g., German, Spanish...)
- 5+ years’ experience in country marketing, launch or key account management in the Pharma business
- Experience working in large / international companies
- Track record taking ownership and delivering results in a timely manner in complex cross-functional settings
- Generics and Biosimilar knowledge is required
- Excellent analytical skills and proactive business results-focus with proven ability to provide data-driven insights to improve results
- Ability to understand and effectively work in cross-functional dispersed environments
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with ability to interact and engage in different cultures
- Problem-solving skills
