Are you a seasoned ServiceNow expert with a passion for building and supporting the ServiceNow platform, guiding other ServiceNow teams, and creating impactful custom applications? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer. This role will allow you to leverage your extensive skills in ServiceNow and lead our platform's success.
Your Impact as Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer:
As a Senior ServiceNow Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and strategic direction of our ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with other senior engineers and teams to build, guide, and support customers in creating scoped applications and integrating new functionalities. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping our platform updated, secure, and helping customers navigate the ServiceNow platform. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation within our international company.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of custom applications within ServiceNow, including intake, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, design, building, testing, and releasing. You are constantly up to date with the newest developments and make sure you apply the latest best practices to these new applications.
- You own the architecture, data separation, and security of the platform, and thus you need to align and set standards for the guild, your team and the customers including knowledge of different integration patterns and possibilities in ServiceNow, architectural choices, and adherence to best practices.
- At least 5 year experience on the ServiceNow platform with at least implementation specialist in 2 to preferably 3 modules
- At least 3-4 years experience in other modules like ITSM, HR, SecOps, CSM to complement your platform knowledge
- Proven experience with Integrations, integration Hub, Creater workflow and Scoped app application development for at least 2 years
- Design and implement workflows, notifications, and flow automation to enhance efficiency by automating repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure the application meets business needs.
- Support deployment through Source Control, update sets, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist in the lifecycle management of the platform, including upgrades and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance of the platform.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and industry trends to drive innovation.
Who You Are
- A ServiceNow expert with 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and platform management.
- A strong communicator, capable of translating technical concepts into business value.
- Experienced with ServiceNow’s components like global scope, platform lifecycle management, upgrade processes, and security best practices.
- Proficient in developing scoped applications, integrating new functionalities, and managing complex projects.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Unix Shell.
- Experienced with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and web application stacks.
- A proactive leader who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Committed to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
