As our Technical Accounting Analyst, you will report directly to the Technical Accounting Team Leader and will play a critical contribution in the delivery of our premium collection across international clients within the Technical Accounting Team. The ideal candidate has initial experience in the premium collection and eligibility data management within the insurance sector.
You will also provide key support to the Technical Accounting Subject Matter Expert, ensuring smooth operations, accurate data handling, and continuous improvement within our technical accounting processes. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in technical accounting and a keen interest in data analysis, system improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.
As our Technical Accounting Analyst you will be:
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Technical Accounting (TA) team in all tasks related to bordereaux reconciliation, charging, and payment matching.
- Assisting the Subject Matter Expert in system mapping, client onboarding, and data maintenance in VIPR (Intrali) or other TA tools.
- Running SQL queries and using Excel to maintain and clean databases, identify issues, and prepare datasets for reporting and analysis.
- Helping to prepare monthly and quarterly reports for re-/insurance partners, tracking premiums, lives covered, and revenue data.
- Supporting internal stakeholders with data quality checks and process documentation.
- Provide support in compliance audits.
- Supporting cash collection tracking and helping reduce DSO and overdue balances.
- Helping monitor the status of bordereaux reconciliation across clients and following up on missing or delayed items.
- Providing administrative and analytical support to the Team Leader in process improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with Account Managers to help resolve queries.
- A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a technical accounting, finance, or data-related role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).
- Basic SQL knowledge and interest in data analysis and automation of manual processes.
- Experience in working with systems like Power BI.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow in the technical accounting team
- Familiarity with VIPR (Intrali) or similar reconciliation tools, would be a plus
- Knowledge of insurance accounting principles and re-/insurance operations would be considered a plus.
