Purpose of the job
We are looking for someone eager to join us at this exciting time and to be instrumental in creating a contract logistics business in the both Spain and Portugal. You will need an excellent understanding of the contract Logistics, coupled with an entrepreneurial ‘no fear’ approach to securing new activity.
Furthermore you will:
- Building the Business Development team in Spain, reporting to the Country Manager.
- Will be responsible for the national RFQ where Samsung SDS Spain will be participating along with the BD team in RHQ. Be ready from the 1st day.
- You will become the main contact of former customers of the Company. We expect you have a deep understanding of customer management.
- Looking for warehouse locations and solutions following national regulation depending on the product and customer requirements.
- Drafting and implementing the sales strategy plan in line with the company Strategy and Business plan.
- You will follow internal procedures according to Company procurement.
- Drafting and managing the BD/ Sales budgets.
- Building and maintaining excellent relations with (key) customers.
- Continue developing the Company brand awareness, attending fairs, participating in local forums and be a true representative of the brand.
- Attend BD European meeting within the organization, preparation of your business plan, sales results and leading conversations on top level management
- Follow up on your sales activities, including customer and supplier side. This will include responsibility for billing your customers and comply with internal procedures to manage payments on time.
- Establish a clear collaboration with RHQ colleagues supporting your business.
Profile
We are looking for
- 5+ years of relevant experience selling contract logistics. This requirement is a must, please clearly show in your CV Contract Logistics experience if possible, with examples
- You can bring possible customers, and you have a network among carriers, landlords, brokers and any kind of supplier needed in contract logistics, within the Spanish market
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Problem solving, communicative, independent, managerial, analytical and you set priorities. You know how to find solutions anywhere/how.
- Result-oriented, customer-oriented, convincing, influencing, motivating, coaching, and commercial
- A real 'deal maker' with good sales qualities and enjoy approaching customers.
- A team oriented colleague who knows how to navigate organizations
- Someone who takes ownership of performance
